L’Classique Princess Leia

Leia is the one we got at the same time as Elsa. I wanted so much to have an Elsa, but I got outvoted on her name. For our first cat. Todd and Taylor wanted to name her after a star-wars character. So I got to add Princess to her name. We did not know we were going to get a litter mate as well. So Leia was supposed to be our one and only. Originally we were not even planning to breed but as time went by and we learned more about these beautiful babies we decided to be a part of that. Our original plan was to just have Leia, use a stud. But as fate would have it, we were blessed to not only get Leia, but also a litter name (Elsa). To have litter mates is an amazing experience. To see them bond and play from 12-week-old kittens to how they are today I am so glad we took them both. Leia is a great mommy and she likes to have big litters, so far they have all been 4-5 kittens, including her very first litter. Around here, we like to call Leia everybody’s cat. She runs from no one including a big German Shepherd. If someone is getting attention you can believe it is this girl. She knows no strangers.

*In the ones with two cats it is Eli, he is the one to the back or farther away from the Camera and he is the darker one, the other is Leia.

L’Classique Queen Elsa

Queen Elsa – Is my very special girl. I was not supposed to get her. We originally only planned on one female, but as fate would have it we ended up with two and she was our second one. We got her because when they shut flights down her buyer and the breeder could not get a flight for delivery. I was fortunate to have a flight not canceled for her sister Leia, so the opportunity for Elsa was requested by Barbara since we were in the breeding program and of course, we were more than glad to agree to purchase a second cat. Elsa has only had two litters, we lost the first one due to it being a singleton litter and the kitten was too big to pass. Her second litter was a success, with two babies a boy (Rocco) and a girl (Tatiana). Tatiana went as a breeder in our program and will be the only one carrying on Elsa’s name. Any intact female cat can develop pyometra, an infection that follows heat cycles or sometimes birth. We decided to spay her due to her repeated history of pyometra. Our cats are more than just breeders and income, they are our beloved pets above all. Elsa is now a retired female and lives happily at our home as a pet.

We are grateful she got to experience motherhood and have two beautiful babies, Rocco and Tatiana, and that Tatiana will be carrying on her momma’s legacy as a Dearheart Persian.

SIRE – AnointedPaws Elisha Roi

You may be thinking ‘What an odd name’, and wondering if there is a meaning behind it.  Well, there is, and it’s a funny story that started as a joke among friends who thought we were crazy for spending so much money on cats.  So instead of the crazy cat lady, we are the crazy cat family, haha.  So, my funny, wonderful always joking around husband would always respond with,  “Just wait till we get our male, we are going to call him Roi (Return On Investment and laugh at their comments)”,  So, as any good, supportive wife, my response was always “we are NOT going to call our cat Roi”.  Well, it became such a joke among friends that it stuck. So, we added the name Elisha to the front of that name and called him Elisha Roi, so that he could be a double portion blessing, not to our finances, but in hopes of saving this breed. So we are believing our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, for a blessing on him, not for the sake of our finances, but rather to produce many offspring that can be used in our gene pool.

* In the pics with the other cats he’s the darker one on the floor.

L’Cara Tesoro Amaretta Bleu

Now this girl was our mystery kitten, her parents are a silver chinchilla (Sister to my Elsa & Leia) and a shaded golden male Sterling CHL Emile of L’Cara Tesoro. Originally we were not really sure what color she was going to end up having. She appeared chinchilla, but her tipping looked more blue and as if that was not puzzling enough, she had this beautiful golden hue to her main color as well. So would she be a dilute? Would she be a blue golden or a blue silver? We really didn’t know originally. We now know she is silver shaded, as the golden tones mostly faded away and we also know she is not blue silver because we did a DNA test to see if she carried the dilute gene and she has 0 copies of that. We know now that golden hue is called warm spots (some refer to as tarnish), but this is not bad if you are looking for a silver that is a golden carrier. That is because those warm spots are also the indicator that those silvers are the golden carriers. So yes, Ami is full Dearheart, she has the same amazing lines just like the others, only her daddy being a golden, is what makes her a golden carrier. This is amazing, since we have so few goldens from these lines. So depending on your breeding goals, whether you want a golden Dearheart or if you just want a pet, her offspring may be your pic. Ami’s offspring COULD produce; Silvers, Goldens, and also Golden Carriers. Ami has produced both silver and golden and golden carriers all of which are full Dearhearts. That being said, Ami is absolutely beautiful and she is constantly purring, she loves to cuddle and be on top of anyone who will pay attention to her. She is a lap cat, not a sit beside you cat. She has the perfect personality.

L’Cara Tesoro Princess Peach

Peach, who I often call my lil Peachy Pie, is my one and only golden. She is a full Dearheart. I know what you’re thinking… “She’s golden and you call her a full Dearheart, that isn’t even a thing”, but it is. Let me explain. Silvers carry a golden gene, golden is just recessive to silver, but it does make it possible to produce goldens from silver parents and silver lines. Now those goldens should still have the same nose and eye liner that the silvers have, since they are from silver lines. (Understanding how the color distributes is better understood by researching genetics and looking specifically at the silver and golden genes called agouti, wideband, and inhibitor genes.) So it is true, that silvers can produce goldens. However, that is not the case with Peach. Peach’s parents are both goldens and they were the first two goldens in our network, they were imported from South Africa, but are still from the Dearheart lines, so the exciting thing about that is we know that the line has produced a blue golden before so someone had to carry a dilute gene. Either the mom or dad. So we were excited just to get them and have the two goldens here, but we also knew there was a chance if either of them carried a dilute gene, then 25% of their offspring would also be a dilute carrier since the dad in that line produced a blue golden we knew he was the dilute carrier. So we knew it was possible it was passed down to the two imports, so there was a good chance one of them carried it. Peach’s DNA showed she is a dilute carrier so we know one of the imports did carry the dilute gene. When talking about Dearhearts, goldens and blue goldens are something you don’t hear much about. If you haven’t heard of a Golden Dearheart, you certainly haven’t heard of a blue golden Dearheart. That’s because Dearheart is actually a cattery name and the owner of that cattery was Jeanie Ramsdale, but the breeders that bred these lines that she worked with, bred for silvers, but there were goldens in the linage as well. They just focused on the silver line and not as much on the goldens, but they certainly did use them from time to time, so they did exist. This is why we are so excited to have our lil Peachy Pie, not only is she another golden in our network, but her DNA test showed she is a dilute carrier so she can produce not only silver and golden, but when bred to the right stud, she can produce blue golden and blue silvers as well. So she will play a huge role in us having blue goldens and blue silvers in these lines here in the USA.

SlvrPalace Hello Kitty of Slvr-Cherie of SlvrC’Finesse

Hello Kitty is my special miracle and she belongs to my son and my daughter. She was Born Jan 25th and she is from Leia and Eli’s 2nd litter. Leia lost her entire first litter due to all 4 babies being premie’s. So when her 2nd litter came we were very nervous till she hit full term. Then delivery day came and everyone was born great, the next day everyone was gaining, then just like with human babies sometimes they will drop a tiny bit of weight and then the next day or two start regaining weight again. We noticed one not gaining well, so we would let her eat first, then we started supplementing, then we got concerned and made a vet trip. Vet said he could find no issues, her pallet was good, everything appeared normal, we were told do what you can to get food in her, but it’s looking like she has fading kitten syndrome and you’ll likely loose her. There is no reason for it, some kittens just fail to thrive. We had to supplement full time, but we still put her with momma and siblings after she was fed, for bonding, some moments it was only a few drops, for a while I was literally force feeding her scared to death I would make her aspirate by accidentally pressing the syringe plunger to hard, then finally came that full 1oz felt like I fed her an entire steak dinner, then she got up to the 2 oz feedings, I was thrilled but to see her eventually syringe feed without me forcing the plunger to dispense milk, to see her suckling on her own for it was the best feeling ever. We tracked her weight daily. I would often keep her tucked in my clothes so she could remain on my skin and warm when she was not with her fur mommy. Bottle feeding a kitten can be so hard and it’s often not successful in the best circumstances. So to see her kitten pics next to her litter mates and realizing now just how tiny she was blows my mind. To see her now you’d never know she almost was not here, we almost lost her a couple times through that time due to me struggling to stimulate her bowels after feedings, ect. So, even though I didn’t really want to have another cat here, after all that work of bottle feeding every 2 house for weeks till she was big enough to survive on her own and eat food, you can imagine we got a little attached. So I said she will be the last I sell cause if I get stuck with one it is going to be here, well after all the others sold, needless to say, we just could not part with our little miracle baby. The entire family was attached to her, so my daughter named her and so we started a cattery in my daughters name and Hello Kitty is her first kitten. Now when my daughter goes to move out we may have to have shared parenting cause Hello Kitty is gonna be hard for any of us to part with.

SlvrPalace Princess Anna of Slvr-Cherie OF SlvrC’Finesse

Princess Anna is from Eli and Leia, Anna belongs to my son and is registered to Slvr D’Heart. She is a full sister to Hello Kitty our miracle bottle fed baby. They were actually litter mates. My grand daughter waited so anxiously for a kitten, sadly Leia’s first litter did not survive due to being premie’s. When the last surviving kitten passed away we were all devastated and it was so sad disappointing my little grand daughter that we were not going to have a kitty for her. Finally a year later Leia became pregnant again. We were all a little anxious till they were born and we seen everyone they were going to make it. My grand daughter picked out the darkest and most shaded looking kitten and named her Princess Anna from Frozen, her favorite movie. Since my grand daughter was at my house every day or close to every day, Anna and her became so attached that transitioning Anna to their home was so easy. Anna now lives with my son and my grand daughter. She was registered under my daughters cattery Slvr-Cherie, but my son now also has his own cattery so she will soon be registered under his own cattery, which is Slvr D’Heart prior to having any kittens. She is from my first surviving litter and she is also my sons first Slvr D’Heart cattery cat.

L’Cara Tesoro Aurora of Slvr D’Heart

I have to admit I am a little jealous this beautiful chinchilla belongs to my sons cattery of Slvr D’Heart and not me. Aurora is absolutely beautiful and I so badly wanted a kitten named Aurora too, and he has both, this beautiful baby and one of my favorite cat names (since all my cats are named after either a bible character or a cartoon). So it’s no surprise where Aurora’s name comes from. Aurora’s nick name is Rori, she is from L’Cara Tesoro’s cattery in Louisiana and she is compatible with my Eli. She is also a full sister to my female Amaretta who we call Ami, Rori is also the last kitten from L’Cara Tesoro’s sweet lil cat named Violet (AKA – Vi). Violet had to have an emergency spay due to delivery complications, so we are glad to have her last baby as part of our breeding program. L’Cara Tesoro also has one of my female cat Elsa’s only kitten in her cattery. And that is Tatianna. So we have sister Queens (Elsa and Violet) and she has Elsa’s only female kitten and my son has her Violets last kitten which is our beautiful and beloved Aurora!
