Kitten Contract

TLH – Chinchilla & Shaded Silver Persians

Buy A Kitten

Hi Future Owner!

Please visit my kitten application.  I require everyone inquiring about a kitten to fill out an application.  Every family dynamic is different and this allows me to help you in picking out a kitten that best suits your family dynamic.  I will contact you once I receive your application.  Once I agree to place a kitten with you I will send you a copy of the contract on this page with the details filled out for your particular kitten and location for you to sign.  Please understand these kittens are my babies and I love them dearly.  Any reputable breeder will ask you the questions I will be asking you, and more. In fact, I have compiled my own list of questions to ask by viewing the list of questions other breeders ask over the years.  This is because I want my kittens to go to the home that best suits them as well as you.  I want the placement of a kitten in your home to be successful for your family and a life long commitment.  For example. if we have an adult cat in our network but it doesn’t do well with dogs and you own dogs, I’ll know that is not going to be the best situation for the cat or your family. I want the placement of any and all cats/kittens from my cattery to be a success for you as well as for the kitten. Therefore I ask several questions on the kitten application, please answer them honestly, this does not determine if I will or will not sell you a kitten, I determine that through our conversations, this helps me to make sure the placement of a kitten is a success for both the kitten and for you and your family!

I also contract all my buyers before selling a kitten as a pet as or when allowing breeding rights. I am part of a conservation team, so I do not sell breeding rights without seeing the pedigree of any cat you plan to breed my kitten to.  No exceptions to this rule.  I do not support backyard breeders.  This is also to ensure that the cat you are purchasing is a good genetic match with your cat.  With so few of these cats left with clean lines in existence, it requires someone to genetically match them up for breeding so that they are not paired with a cat too closely related, there are 3 of us in our network that does the genetic matching.  I also require the cats going with breeding rights to be matched up with full dearheart lines so that they can be a part of expanding our lines and gene pool. The kittens produced at SlvrPalace are from full dearhearts and are also grandkitties to one of the last cats owned by Alida herself, whom she named Cherie-Finesse Albert,  so this mission is very important to us here at SlvrPalace.  Our cats are not just Persians, they are also known as the Traditional Long Hair breed that comes from South Africa. These are the Dearheart line of Persians (USA) – aka the TLH (SA) Traditional/Original Longhair of South Africa. We do not cross lines with the Brachycephalic (aka flat-faced) Persians, those cats are also known to get stuck in the birth canal of these cats due to a different head, so I do not give breeding rights to just anyone or pair them up with just any cat.  To get breeding rights you MUST join our team of breeders to preserve the Dearheart Line.  Please view the Dearheart legacy page to better understand this and if you are still interested in a kitten please view our contract and fill out a kitten application and I will be glad to reach out to you.

Thank You!
